The ZÇH Reading Room offers an extensive collection of rare and contemporary publications carefully curated around these themes, serving as an open resource for researchers, students, and curious readers.
The library’s selections bring together works spanning a wide range of subjects-from the Turkish hammam tradition to tile art, from Istanbul’s multilayered history to Ottoman seafaring, and from Mimar Sinan’s architectural legacy to the technical and symbolic meanings of water structures. A special section dedicated to children features books that explore themes such as bathing culture, tiles, architecture, water heritage, and art history in an educational and engaging way.
The ZÇH Reading Room is open to visitors Tuesday–Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00.
Closed on weekends and public holidays.
