Zeyrek Çinili Hamam Museum’s adult learning program continues with “Ceramics Workshop with Yasemin Özcan: Grounding,” led by artist and writer Yasemin Özcan.

This workshop invites participants on a journey into the origins of ceramics, the potential of clay, and its uses within the hammam. It begins with Özcan’s video Earth is the Mother of Us All, then explores the history of ceramics starting with the discovery of fire, the journey of brick as a building material, and its traces within Zeyrek Çinili Hamam.

Throughout the session, participants will gain insight into the story of ceramics and the transformative potential of clay. The workshop concludes with a collective hands-on clay–shaping experience.

-No prior ceramics experience is required. 

-Since participants will be working with clay, bringing a change of clothes is recommended.

-There are a limited number of free student spots available for the event. For application
