Inspired by Juliette Minchin: A Children’s Art Workshop
BACK
As part of the Zeyrek Çinili Hamam Museum Learning Program and led by Atölye Pikolo, this special workshop offers children the opportunity to explore both art and the joy of the creative process.
Inspired by French artist Juliette Minchin’s exhibition Where the River Burns, young participants are introduced to the stories of different materials such as beeswax, tin, and paper, taking their first steps into their own creative processes. During the production phase of the program, they reinterpret everyday objects including rice, foil, and pencils to create abstract compositions of their own.
This experience supports the development of observation, critical thinking, and making skills, while also introducing children to ways of thinking unique to artistic practice.
While each child completes an individual artwork to take home, parents take part in a guided museum tour, discovering the unique story of the hamam. Taking place during the final days of the exhibition, this special workshop is not to be missed.
